Privacy

Unspeakabl is made by Bora Technologies. You do not need an account to play, and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number. This page explains what stays on your phone, what reaches our servers, and who else is involved.

What stays on your device

Most of the game never leaves your phone. Stored locally, and cleared when you uninstall or clear the app's storage:

  • Game settings and preferences
  • Team names, scores and round history
  • Game statistics and streaks
  • A randomly generated device ID (see below)
  • A local record of your purchases, so the app knows what you own offline

The device ID

On first launch the app generates a random identifier and keeps it on your device. It is not your advertising ID, and it is not linked to your name or any account. We use it for three things only: to hold a promo code or day pass against the right device, to recover a day pass if you reinstall, and to rate-limit repeated failed promo-code attempts.

What reaches our servers

Unspeakabl talks to our own server at mp.unspeakabl.in in these situations:

  • Version check. On launch, the app asks the server which version is current, so it can tell you when an update is available.
  • Online multiplayer. If you create or join an online room, the room's state — room code, team names, scores and whose turn it is — is held on our server while the game is running. Rooms are temporary and are cleaned up after play.
  • Purchases. When a purchase completes, the app sends the device ID, the product identifier, the store transaction ID and the platform, so that a day pass can be restored if you reinstall.
  • Promo codes. If you redeem a code, the code and device ID are checked against our server. Failed attempts are recorded briefly for rate-limiting and deleted automatically after seven days.

We do not sell this data, and we do not use it to build a profile of you.

Ads

The free game shows ads between rounds through Google AdMob. Google may collect device identifiers, IP address and ad-interaction data, and processes that under its own privacy policy — see Google's Privacy Policy. You can limit personalised ads in your device settings. Buying the season ticket or an active day pass removes ads.

Purchases

All purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details. Prices, receipts and refunds are theirs — refunds are requested through the store, not through us.

Who else is involved

  • Google AdMob — advertising in the free game
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — distribution and payments
  • Amazon Web Services and MongoDB Atlas — hosting for the multiplayer server and its database

Children

Unspeakabl is a general-audience party game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will remove it.

Your choices

  • Delete everything held on your device by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
  • Limit personalised advertising through your device's privacy settings.
  • Ask us to delete the server-side records tied to your device — email us and we will confirm once it is done.

Changes

If this policy changes we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
